Our Competition winners | Carol Ann Flateau

Last month we ran a competition to give Creative Employment Programme participants a chance to win tickets to the Creative & Cultural Skills Annual Conference, worth £400 each. To enter, participants were required to write a blog, take a photo or make a short video explaining the best thing about their placement. Over the next few posts, we’ll introduce each of the winning entries – we hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Carol Ann Flateau completed an internship at The Harlowe Playhouse, and she had this memory to share…

I loved working at the Harlowe Playhouse. My favourite part was being a part of the crew whilst panto was on – Cinderella with Eastenders’ actor Joe Swash as Buttons. All the cast and crew were lovely and I had a really fun time and loved the after show parties, which were crazy. This was my first panto and I made a lot of friends. Our staff did a staff panto, where we pretty much soaked Joe Swash from head to toe in water, and made fun of the whole cast (all in good taste of course!). I’ve now fallen in love with panto and I want become part of one, as well as going to one every year.

Above is a photo of Carol Ann and Joe Swash.
