As anyone who has attended a THIS IS IT! event will know, the talks, workshops and professional expertise are not the only things to get excited about. The THIS IS IT! team beg, borrow and steal (ok, mostly beg) our way to providing a selection of top-class prizes for attendees, and THIS IS IT! Birmingham on 12 Sep at the Hippodrome is no exception.
The Drum have kindly donated two tickets to a real highlight of their season. An Evening with Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze and Tracie Morris sees two remarkable artists unite in a tour-de-force of spoken word poetry. Acclaimed Jamaican poet and dub artist Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze MBE and the acclaimed US poet and voice artist Tracie Morris present their perspectives on the power of words, reggae music, freedom, in a true celebration of the human experience. The winner is in for an electrifying evening in the presence of these incredible international artists.
Another venue to have generously donated tickets is mac Birmingham. Film buffs will be delighted as winners can take their pick of the diverse cinema offerings at the venue, from indie and art house releases to big screen blockbusters. Whether you’re a fan of Marion Cotilliard, Helen Mirren or Scarlet Johansonn, there are some real corkers out at the moment – check out what they’re currently screening, here.
If you can’t make the Hippodrome event, but you’re feeling lucky, never fear! Creative Employment Programme interns, apprentices and trainees can join the our Facebook Group for a chance to win a signed and illustrated copy of Hunt Emerson’s Dante’s Inferno.
