With Friday’s fantastic Birmingham event under our belt (check out the Storify if you missed it), we’re gearing up for THIS IS IT! Plymouth at the end of the month. On 26th September we will be at Plymouth College of Art for another creative careers day for young creative talent of the South West.
If you need a ‘how-to’ of how to get started in the Creative Industries, the interactive session with creative agency Grand Visionary Solutions is for you. In the afternoon, the London-based Before I Die Network will be helping you find out where you want your career to go, and more importantly, how to get there.
Need help with job applications? Then you can sign up for with one-to-one support and advice on your covering letter and CV from The Creative Society team. We’ll be on hand to help you make the most of your social media presence too – another key to finding your dream creative job.
We have a panel of arts professionals to tell you all about their paths to employment in the creative industries and answer your questions. The lineup includes freelancer and polymath Gaia Harvey Jackson, Director of RISE Youth Dance Helen Wilson and Amie Knights and Helen Gilchrist from creative copywriting agency Stranger Collective. Dan Baker, a Producer who works freelance and with Barbican Theatre Plymouth, will also take to the stage. If you can make it along on the day, give them a Google and think of some questions to make the most of their knowledge and experience. You could event grab the attention of a future employer, so take your chance to make an impression!
